Retirement wants water, roads

THE EDITOR, MADAM:

For many Jamaican citizens, owning a home and living in safe communities is not just a desire, it is a need. In addition, persons expect their government to be committed to ensure basic needs such as water and roads are accessible to all despite their socioeconomic background.

Elections have come and gone and along with them empty promises from political representatives for Retirement Phase 1 & 2 in St James. The community has pipes that have been laid and at one point was waiting on water meters for residents.

Residents have tried their utmost best to manage under the circumstances with trucking water, but those who call themselves representatives need to do just that and represent for actual needs of the people.
