THE CHERINE Anderson-produced song, Up All Night, is a declaration of breaking free from everything that has held one bound. The song and video were released independently on Tuesday, on all digital platforms.

Known for her dynamic live performances, songwriting, vocal and acting skills, she has landed collaborations and remixes with global industry heavyweights.

On Up All Night, she collaborates with her Victory team, enlisting friends Eban Hutton (piano) and Orville ‘Rorey’ Baker (engineer), while she handles percussion/drum programming.

Cherine’s true gift, though, is encouragement – knowing just how to use her voice to stir up emotions, then slowly and deliberately writing messages of hope and faith on the hearts of her audience.

When asked about her approach to producing Up All Night, she said: “Sonically, I wanted to use instruments along with my voice to capture raw emotions. I wanted sounds that could tell a story of hope and freedom.”

Getting to the release was no easy feat. Anderson recalls that her faith was tested many times.

“I had to start praying differently, and not just saying but believing the words ‘ God is up all night/He’s with you in this fight’.”

Cherine wants her audience and growing community to let their pain go and captures this in the lines “You’re not your pastI know it feels like you are breaking / But feelings don’t last/Let the pain go.”

Up All Night is complemented by a performance video directed by Jesane ‘Marz’ Jackson and was shot on location at Hollywell Nature Park and NWC’s Mona Reservoir.
